Notification letter to NCCJ

Reduce Your Income Tax While Fighting Bias, Bigotry and Racism!

From now until the end of 2011, NCCJ's supporters have a unique opportunity to build a more diverse and inclusive community while also lessening their tax bill!

If you are age 70½ or older, you can use some or all of your required minimum distribution from your retirement accounts to fight bias, bigotry and racism -- and avoid having that distribution count toward your annual taxable income. But you must act before Friday, December 30.

You can make a gift of $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 - any amount up to $100,000 for 2011. Unless Congress votes to extend the provision, only those distributions made prior to Jan. 1, 2012 will qualify.

How do I know if an IRA charitable rollover is right for me?

You are at least age 70½, AND

You do not need the additional income generated by the minimum required distribution, OR

Your charitable gifts already equal 50% of your adjusted gross income, so you do not benefit from an income tax charitable deduction for additional gifts, OR

You do not itemize deductions.

REMEMBER: Your IRA trustee or custodian must transfer your gift directly payable to NCCJ of the Piedmont Triad. Be sure to consult your professional advisor to determine how this provision may benefit both you and NCCJ.

NCCJ of the Piedmont Triad

713 N. Greene St.

Greensboro, NC 27401

And please be sure to let us know when you direct the rollover so we can look for the check from your plan provider.

Your gift will help NCCJ create a community free of bias, bigotry and racism and empower the next generation of Guilford County's leaders.
