For 17 years, The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) has brought together individuals of all faiths for an afternoon of fellowship and community building as they tour houses of worship across the Triad. The Interfaith Tour offers a unique opportunity to hear from a diverse group of leaders in our faith community and develop a stronger appreciation of different belief systems. Through the Interfaith Tour and other programs, NCCJ seeks to promote understanding and respect among all cultures, races and religions.
NCCJ is delighted to announce the 2012 Interfaith Tour in Greensboro – Sunday, February 12 from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. This year’s tour will give guests an opportunity to visits houses of worship from the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian faiths:
Check-in will began promptly at 1:45 p.m. at Temple Emanuel. Immediately following the conclusion of the tour, NCCJ Youth Ambassadors will facilitate small-group discussions about how individuals from different faith groups can work together to foster understanding. Guests will have an opportunity to converse over light refreshments at the Islamic Center.
Individuals and groups are welcome. If you would like more information or want to register for the tour, contact Charles at cjones@nccjtriad.org, by phone at 272-0359 ext. 11 or visit www.nccjtriad.org.
